KABIYESI HAS DONE WELL

MALAM: Ha, Pastor, good morning, Yaya Asumi? ( How is your fasting going?).

My brother, you did not answer, what is the matter?

But the fasting is not even taking much toll on your body cum appearance, you are as fresh as cucumber.

PASTOR: Thank you Malam, I hope you are not out to make a joke of me, since you have finished your own fasting.

You said I am looking so good, is everyone of us not looking good, even with fasting? I think you are right with that observation, our Kabiyesi should take the glory.

MALAM: Kabiyesi should take the glory? What concerns Kabiyesi with you or everyone looking good?

Are we now living in Kabiyesi ‘s court yard or is he the one responsible for our care?

PASTOR: Thanks for your question, have you forgotten so soon, when our Kabiyesi ascended the throne of his forebears some years back, not quite a month thereafter, the slogan all over town was, Ebi npa wa, ( we are hungry) but now it is not like that any more. People who said they were hungry then are no longer hungry or, at least, no more shouting.

MALAM: Are you sure Pastor, that those who are mouthing the slogan,Ebi na wa, some months back are still in this town? I think, they must have relocated, I mean they must have “JAPA”

PASTOR: Japa to where? They are in town, the thing is they don’t have the courage to admit that our Kabiyesi is doing well in terms of food security, they are surprised that things have eased, which they don’t want to admit. I can recollect, our fasting immediately he ascended the throne was not that easy ,in terms of feeding, not to talk about other aspects of daily life, but he assured us back then ,that things will get better, we thank God and Kabiyesi for the relief.

MALAM: I agree with you, Kabiyesi has done really well, our fasting went smoothly, because we did not lack anything and I am sure the same thing is happening at your own end.

“Kabiyesi has done really well, our fasting went smoothly, because we did not lack anything…”

The two religions admonish us to pray for our leaders, and Kabiyesi is our leader, please, pastor, don’t forget this aspect.

PASTOR: Malam, I won’t forget, we will always keep him and Other Chiefs in our Prayers. Thank you.
