The Kogi State Government has taken a significant step towards addressing malnutrition in the state by launching a nutritional support programme. This initiative aims to provide essential support to vulnerable groups, including pregnant women, nursing mothers, children living with HIV/AIDS, orphans, and physically challenged individuals.
Mallam Momoh Dauda, General Manager of the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency, emphasised the importance of this programme. He said, “malnutrition has been discovered as the challenge to the vulnerable groups in the society.” He praised Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo for making the well-being of the people a top priority.
The program is expected to have a positive impact on the health and well-being of the beneficiaries. As Governor Ododo assured, “no effort will be spared towards improving the nutritional aspect of the people of the State.”
