Following the successful end of Dr. Vincent Isegbe’s five five-year tenure as Director General of Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service, NAQS, the President has reappointed him for the same capacity.
This means that Isegbe will continue his administration in NAQS, until 2029.
This was revealed in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, on Thursday.
Ngelale indicated in the statement what won Isegbe the second term in the agency. According to him, The President expects that the Director-General will build on the service’s recent performance after it ranked in the top three agencies of the Federal Government of Nigeria in the efficiency and transparency index by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC). That means that the exceptional performance of the agency under his watch was what endeared the president to him, and which qualified him for another term.
