The Osun State Government is working towards entering into partnership with the government of Finland. The focus of the partnership will be to harness potentials in the areas of agriculture, education, digital economy and forest management. This came to the fore during a working visit by Osun State Commissioner for Federal Affairs, Hon. Adenike Adeleke to the Finland Embassy in Abuja.
A bulletin by the Ministry of Information stated that a meeting between the Commissioner and the Ambassador, Leena Pylvänäinen, explored opportunities for collaboration between the State, the Finnish Government, and the organised private sector in Finland. Speaking during the meeting, Ambassador Leena Pylvänäinen expressed enthusiasm on the possibilities that lie ahead in fostering a partnership with Osun State, stressing that Finland has monitored the developmental strides of the State under Governor Ademola Adeleke.
He expressed optimism that the working visit by the Commissioner will mark a significant step towards strengthening ties between the state Government and the Finnish Government.
While expressing gratitude to the Commissioner for the visit, Ambassador Leena Pylvänäinen said the meeting has opened up avenues for partnership that hold the promise of mutual growth and development for both parties. Speaking earlier, Hon. Adenike Adeleke identified agriculture, sustainable forest management, education, digital technology innovations as the main focus of the collaboration.
She expressed optimism that the meeting with the Finland Ambassador will no doubt serve as a springboard for further discussions on how to forge ahead. The Commissioner noted that the administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke is always open and welcoming to all initiatives that will drive development and innovation in Osun State.
