Rice farmers in kwara State are enjoying the best of time under the administration of Governor Abdurahman Abdurazak. This is because the administration has extended its Agricultural Transformation Plan to assist the farmers in the state. In the latest efforts about 45 farmers from Seshi farmers cluster in Patigi Local Government Area have benefitted from the agricultural intervention for 3,400 rice farmers across the state.
This was revealed in a statement, which also indicated that each farmer received bags of fertiliser and bags of urea. It indicated that there are farm clusters through which the administration gives support to farmers in the state. This has raised the hope that there will be increased production of rice in the state.
The statement states further that “Kwara State has over 100 farm clusters that range between 20 hectares to 5,000 hectares. Seshi Cluster in Patigi is one of them, and it has over 1,000 hectares of rice farm.”
