In a bid to cushion the effect of hardship and the food crises in the country, the Federal Government has donated 70 trucks of fertilisers to support farmers, agricultural activities in Kano state.
In a statement released by Malam Sunusi Bature, Director- General, Media and Publicity it was made known that Kabir Yusuf, Kano State Governor hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s support to farmers in the state.
Yusuf while expressing gratitude on behalf of the government and people of Kano state said “This donation aligns with the state’s commitment to agricultural transformation, ensuring accessibility and affordability of high-quality agricultural inputs to enhance crop production.”
The governor gave assurance that the investment of the government in agriculture will not go to waste, under his watch. Hear him: “Kano remains steadfast in its commitment to agricultural transformation by ensuring the accessibility and affordability of high-quality agricultural inputs to enhance crop production within the state.”
Kano has vast arable land well-suited for cultivating staple crops like rice, maize, soybeans, groundnuts, sesame, hibiscus and sorghum.
