The National President of the Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN), Khalil Bello, has commended the North East Development Commission (NEDC) for its unwavering commitment to advancing the livestock sector and fostering overall development in the region.
“In line with this objective, we applaud the NEDC for its unwavering commitment to improving the livestock sector and driving development in the North East,” Bello said.
Bello emphasised the importance of reducing conflicts between herders and farmers, stating that it would significantly contribute to promoting peace and unity across the country. He noted that the NEDC’s efforts in promoting peace and stability in the region are essential for development.
The NEDC has demonstrated its dedication to serving all communities in the region, regardless of state, tribe, religion, or political affiliation. Bello acknowledged the commission’s role in addressing emergencies, such as its response to the Maiduguri flood, and its contributions to rebuilding infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, roads, and bridges.
Bello described the NEDC as “one of Nigeria’s most effective development commissions,” noting that its achievements have inspired calls for the establishment of similar commissions in other regions.
