GOVERNOR OTTI COMMENDED FOR GIVING ATTENTION TO AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT

 Dr. Alex Otti of Abia State has received commendation for the efforts of his administration to promote agriculture in the state in its first one year in office. The commendation was given by Dr. Philips Nto, a former Commissioner for Finance and Michael Okpara University of Agriculture’s Director of Agribusiness Incubation Centre , Umudike. Dr. Not described Governor Otti’s performance in the sector as outstanding.

According to Nto, in a statement made available to the media, Otti took proactive steps to collaborate with the institute for the training of 170 Abia youths in Agribusiness and other areas of the agricultural value chain. He noted that this was aimed at achieving food security in the state. The don, therefore, reiterated an earlier pledge by MOUAU and the Agribusiness Centre to always support the Otti-led administration in its determination to turn Abia around for the better.
