EBONYI STATE GIVES N300 MILLION TO TRAINED AGRIPRENEURS 

Ebonyi State Governor, Rt Honourable Francis Nwifuru, has launched the disbursement of N300m grants to 100 beneficiaries of the State Government’s Agricultural Empowerment Programme. The beneficiaries underwent intensive training at Masters Skills Training Centre, Agbani, Enugu State and were deemed qualified for the grants.
The governor, represented by his Deputy, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila ,  congratulated the beneficiaries of the grants and urged them to utilise the funds effectively. The Chief press secretary to Governor Nwifuru comrade Joseph Ugochuckwu stated the governor also announced plans to enrol over 200 persons, including the 171 Ward Councillors of the State in another Agric Training in Nasarawa State for subsequent empowerment and advised the beneficiaries to remain good ambassadors of the state.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Human Capital Development and Monitoring, Mrs. Ann Aligwe, expressed gratitude to Governor Nwifuru for his administration’s commitment to enhancing the lives of Ebonyi people and emphasised the importance of utilising the funds by the beneficiaries, saying that her office would monitor their activities in their various farms.
Appreciating the government on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Adagba Fabian Nwofoke thanked the Governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for the N3,000,000 grants and pledged their readiness to invest the funds wisely.
