About us

BUSHLINK COMMUNICATIONS LTD is the brainchild of three professionals who had worked in both electronic and print media for about three decades. They are concerned about the under-reporting of the agriculture sector and the brazen neglect of the sector by the authorities under a spell of hunger and deprivation of the citizenry.
We have, therefore, veered off the convenience of the general news reportage where the buzz of politics and social matters rule the content. We consider this necessary at a time that the Food and Agriculture Organisation, FAO in cooperation with other bodies has raised the alarm that the goals of achieving zero hunger and malnutrition in the year 2030 are threatened by some avoidable occurrences assailing the world. In its 2023 report, the consortium of agencies said SDG 1&2, on hunger and nutrition may not be achievable for the year 2030. It has called for a concerted effort to mitigate the impending doom.
It is one of the reasons why this medium is taking the primary responsibility of being the voice of the farmer. It will look at the policies of government, the challenges of the farmer in this regard and what the changing climate portends for him, as he struggles to feed even people who accord little or no importance to his many problems.
BUSHLINK will, however, not limit itself to the farm and the soil tiller. It will also look at his contemporary in the mining sector. Furthermore, this medium will equally be preoccupied with bringing out the advantages these sectors hold for Nigeria, in terms of the contributions to the GDP, the challenges faced by it and how to address those challenges.
As a voice of the toiling millions in the farm and the mining sites, we shall dig into and bring to the open those things that hinder maximum performance of practitioners in the affected sectors, as well as expose whatever factors tend to limit the contribution of the sectors to the growth of the economy.
